Optical Mix
This technique will give a result closer to a true optical film mix that any other method available using Discreet tools alone.

 

Let’s assume you have a foreground with subtle shading that is not a bluescreen,
for this example I have painted some soft airbrush strokes.

In order to preserve the soft detail I often use this approach with batch.

Keyer: For this example the keyer is acting as a mixer to show a full dissolve from black to the foreground.
