Another Great Meetup at NAB

[image title=”barcamp091″ size=”medium” id=”583″ align=”right” linkto=”[site_url]/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/barcamp091.jpg” ]Well…this one was a bit bigger than our past ones thanks to our friends at daVinci, The Foundry, and Sohonet who helped sponsor the event. Almost 200 people dropped by the meetup, which was held next to the convention center at the Renaissance Hotel. As always, it was great to see so many of our members make the effort to come by the event. There were also a ton of past and present profs who dropped by — Mark Christiansen, Liz Tate, John Flowers, Victor Wolansky, Stu Maschwitz, Jeff Olm, and others I’ve probably forgotten in the haze that is NAB. For photos from this event and the rest of NAB, check out our flickr stream.

If you haven’t heard it already, check out this week’s podcast at fxphd or fxguide — we “simulcast” the same podcast on each of the sites. We talk with friends as well as the aforementioned fxphd postgrads and professors about what they saw on the first day of the show.

We’re hard at work doing interviews for fxguidetv — we hope to have our second NAB episode out on Wednesday.
