A Little Fun With Mograph

[image title=”afx205″ size=”medium” id=”612″ align=”none” ]fxphd certainly has its roots solidly in the visual effects field, but one area I’ve enjoyed concentrating on is expanding our motion graphics and After Effects offerings. This term’s AE mograph course with Tim Clapham has been fantastic and even I look forward to his classes coming out. He’s been one of our favorite profs over the last couple of years and I have to say I was really excited when he agreed to join again this term.

Another fun aspect of the term is courtesy of our friends from Red Giant, who have liked what they’ve seen at fxguide and fxphd. For the first time ever anywhere, they’re providing a full up version of their software for our members to use during the term to learn the plugins. Each and every fxphd can get access to the full Trapcode suite as well as Magic Bullet Looks (a grading tool we use for fxguidetv) on whatever host application they wish. Let’s just say Tim and the other profs using Red Giant — Mark Christiansen and John Flowers — were more than happy to include the effects in their curriculum…
