Past Background Fundamentals now available with our new $79 membership

We’ve just released our 2014 and 2015 editions of Background Fundamentals from the archives — a total of 8 courses — as part of the streaming offerings at fxphd.  We now have well over 100 courses on offer, all available for viewing with your membership which starts at $79/month. No more terms to worry about: that means if you’re a member you can watch all of the course content listed on our courses page.

In addition, we have the premiere of “Background Fundamentals 2016, Volume 1” which is our current BKD series for our streaming members. We don’t have a set schedule for releasing new episodes of the course, but over time, we’ll be adding new ones for member’s viewing pleasure.

Background Fundamentals is our TV-magazine style course, lead by Mike Seymour. It covers a wide range of topics from new production techniques, to rendering, to science and math, to image processing, business practices, and more. It helps keep you up to date on the fundamental building blocks of visual effects.
