Rhythm & Hues is one of the most established and well-respected effects and animation companies in the world. The Oscar-winning studio, now with locations around the world, has a great reputation for character work as well as more traditional visual effects. We got to visit Rhythm – celebrating its 25th anniversary this year – and produce this studio profile by talking to VFX supe Ray Chen. R&H is a fun place to work as one can see in everything from the effects and animation they produce – to their brilliant pet policy!
Below are some of the character studies that line the inner walls of the corridors outside the animators’ offices.
