[image title="phone_ap" size="thumbnail" id="624" align="left" linkto="http://www.fxphd.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/phone_ap.jpg” ]Without a doubt this new iPhone application is the best Ap we now have on our iPhones here in the office. The new 1on1 iPhone Canon DLSR controller software can be found by clicking here

We have tested it here at the fxphd tech penthouse with both the 5D and 40D – with and without live view. It works just as promised. You can control the camera, all its settings and see the images on your iPhone while having photographs recorded to both the camera card and the Mac simultaneously. The only got-ya we found is that some canon cameras have a menu setting Communication – and this needs to be set to PC connect and not PRINT/PTP. The ap is addictive and the intervalometer seems to work well, but we have yet to do extensive testing. The menus are a little sparse in places, but the functionality is brilliant and we can not wait for version 2 which will hopefully provide video remote controls as well.

  1. Thanks Mike, I think you will find it’s On One Software, not 1on1 software..

Great app BTW, I have been playing with it today, still a lot to be discovered. And it would be nice if it interfaced/worked as a plugin for Aperture or LightRoom, maybe in a future revision.

    Cheers

  2. Hmm One would wish RED would make one for their cams and then put a small wifi dongle on em.
But that might be what the redmote is for.
