Free preview: NUK309 with Emmy-winner Eran Dinur

We have a tremendous lineup of profs this term at fxphd. One of our member’s favorite profs is Eran Dinur, and he returns to teach a killer new advanced NUKE course. Dinur has taught several courses for us in the past and has always enjoyed the experience of sharing his knowledge.

We’d have him back more often but the reality is, like most of our profs, he has a day job and it’s tough to clear time when you’re on a delivery deadline. He is a senior VFX supervisor at Brainstorm Digital and the recipient of an Emmy Award and two VES awards for his work on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. In addition to that show, film and TV projects he has supervised include: The Wolf of Wall Street, The Men Who Built America, Annie, Delivery Man, The Heat, Gold Fever and The Immigrant.

Needless to say, we’re excited to have him teaching again this term so we decided to share a free sample from his new course. This is the first class of NUK309 (get full details here), one of 11 new courses running this term. There are nine other classes that make up the course and there is going to be a lot of hires footage that goes along with the course so members can build the composites Dinur covers during the term.

The man behind the mic: interview with Eran

As a bonus — find out a bit more about Eran in our “Prof Profile” interview with him. We first ran this profile several terms ago, but with his new course running this term, we thought you might want to learn a bit more about the man behind the mic.

And if you missed it, we also have a brand new fxpodcast with him over at fxguide, covering his work at Brainstorm Digital on Men Who Built America.
